PRIVACY POLICY FOR PSA

  1. PSA collects necessary information from individuals, in the form of contact details, in order to carry on the business of publishing (including billing you) and promoting products associated with its publications. Sometimes, we collect sensitive information, such as financial information, in relation to special projects. If we do so, we will tell you the reason why we are collecting that sensitive information and seek your consent to collecting and using it.

  2. Any information PSA collects is available to you upon request. We might ask you to put it in writing but it won't cost you anything. We will only refuse you access to your personal information if there is a valid legal reason for doing so and we will tell you that reason.

  3. PSA does not provide third parties with the personal information collected and has taken every reasonable step to ensure the information is stored securely and remains within our direct control and safe from misuse, loss or unauthorised access, modification or disclosure.

  4. If PSA obtains non-sensitive information from third parties for the purposes of direct mailing you, it may be impracticable to obtain your consent to it use.

  5. PSA may use personally identifiable information in aggregate form to improve our products including our websites. The aggregated statistics may also be used as summary reports for marketing advertising and research.

  6. If PSA is required to use or disclose information by or under law, we will comply with the law.

  7. PSA makes every reasonable effort to keep the personal information collected accurate, complete and up to date. This includes making changes to your information when you ask us to. If we refuse to correct your personal information upon request we will tell you the reason why.

  8. Any information posted on bulletin boards and/or communicated in chat areas becomes public information. We can't guarantee the security of information you put into the public domain through our websites.

  9. PSA uses cookies to facilitate your ongoing access to and use of our websites. If you don't want us to be able to collect information through the use of cookies you can use your browser to deny the cookie feature on your computer.

  10. This Privacy Policy relates to personal information we gather from other websites to which we are linked. But we are not responsible for the content of other websites and you should check the Privacy Policies of other websites when you visit them. You must take responsibility for any personal information you voluntarily post on the internet by remembering to close your browser and keeping passwords, user names and account information secure.

  11. PSA is the publisher of an annual Book of Lists for Queensland industries. When information is collected for inclusion in the Book of Lists, participants are informed that information will be published and/or sold in mail merge format by PSA. This forms an exception to relevant provisions above, however, prospective participants are advised in advance that PSA is collecting their information for inclusion and publication in the Book of Lists.
